Privacy Policy
1 Local Storage & Processing
All audio, video files, subtitle texts, learning records, category labels, and course files used in the app are stored locally on the user’s device. The app does not automatically upload, sync, or transmit user content to the developer or any third-party servers. All processing functions, including playback, segmentation, shadowing practice, and subtitle display, are performed entirely on the device.
2 Recording & Personal Data
Features such as echo practice, shadowing exercises, and waveform recording require microphone access with user permission. Recordings are used solely for local playback and analysis and are never uploaded or transmitted to the developer or any third party. All recording files are stored locally on the device and can be deleted by the user at any time.
3 Import & Export
Users may choose to export audio, video, subtitle files, and segmentation records for backup or migration purposes. If grouping information (such as MATE files) is included, metadata such as file names and custom labels may be recorded. If users choose to share exported files with others, they are responsible for ensuring that no sensitive personal information is disclosed.
4 Background Playback
When background playback is enabled, the app continues to play audio or video while running in the background. No additional data is collected or transmitted during background operation.
5 Categories & Cover Images
Users may create custom categories and upload cover images or select system-provided images for local organization and display. All images are stored locally on the device and are not uploaded or shared.
6 No Collection of Personal Identifiable Information
The app does not require account registration and does not collect names, email addresses, location data, contacts, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information. The app does not generate persistent device identifiers and does not track users across apps or services.
7 Third-Party Services & Network Requests
This app does not integrate with advertising networks, and we do not sell or share your content or personal privacy data with third parties. Unless you actively trigger an action, the app will not initiate any network communication. In a limited number of cases, the app may make necessary network requests: • Translation Language Pack Download (Google ML Kit): When you use the “Translate” feature for the first time, or when you choose to download a language pack within the translation feature, the app will connect to Google servers to download the corresponding translation model (language pack) to your device. This process transfers only the model files and does not upload your audio, video, subtitles, learning records, or any other user-generated content. • Decryption Key Retrieval (with Device Attestation): To unlock protected in-app content resources (such as encrypted vocabulary resource packs), the app may initiate a necessary authorization flow with our server. This flow typically includes (1) a challenge/device attestation request to verify the device environment and app identity, and (2) a request to obtain a one-time decryption key or authorization information to unlock the encrypted content. If attestation fails, the system may automatically retry once to improve the success rate. • Copyright and Security Verification: When obtaining a key or decrypting protected content, necessary authorization/integrity/security checks may be performed to confirm content legitimacy and the security of the device environment. These processes do not involve uploading user-generated content. All network requests described above occur only when you actively trigger them (for example, downloading a language pack or unlocking content), and they do not upload your audio, video, subtitles, learning records, or any other user-generated content. (If additional learning materials or resources are added in the future, we will follow the same principles: network requests will be made only when you actively trigger them, and user-generated content will not be uploaded.)
8 Usage Analytics (Firebase / GA4)
To continuously improve product experience and understand overall feature usage, the app uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to collect limited usage metrics, such as app launches, session activity, and page views. These metrics are used only for product optimization and operational analysis, not for personalized advertising. Analytics events do not include your local audio/video content, subtitles, recordings, or learning materials. The app does not enable cross-app tracking and does not collect IDFA for analytics purposes.
9 User Control
Users may delete any audio, video, recordings, subtitles, courses, or imported data within the app at any time. The app does not restrict the removal of any non-essential content. All import, export, and download actions are fully controlled and manually initiated by the user.
10 Children & Age Rating
The app is intended for general learning purposes and does not contain violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate content for minors. The app does not provide user-generated content (UGC) features, public communication systems, or third-party content feeds. If users import media that exceeds their device’s age rating restrictions, they are responsible for managing such content appropriately.
